Alex Mack

Creative Director / Filmmaker

Alex is a recent University of Utah graduate with a B.A. in Film and Media Arts. Alex first started experimenting with film in high school, after enrolling in Spy Hop, a local nonprofit whose aim is to mentor young people in digital media arts, help them find a voice, and make a difference in their communities. Before high school had ended, Alex had created several films, one of which gained local and national attention.

The film screened at and won awards at several film festivals, and eventually was an official selection of the 2007 Sundance Film Festival. This film is still used throughout the country in schools and rehab facilities, and attests to the power of storytelling in making a difference in the community. Alex hopes to continue to educate and create change through her films.
